The Zoono hand sanitiser has a technology that mechanically destroys germs and therefore outshines antimicrobial products. Most disinfectants are based on alcohol and other chemicals and are therefore not good for the body and skin. The Zoono disinfectant, on the other hand, is water-based, odourless and gentle on humans and animals. The monomolecular film that forms on the skin when the hand sanitiser is used consists of silane-based antimicrobial polymers. These polymers bind covalently to the surface and form a barrier of positively charged "pins". Thanks to the positive charge, pathogens are attracted and mechanically destroyed by breaking through the cell wall. The pins remain on surfaces for 15 days and on the skin for up to 24 hours. Of course, routine cleaning can continue. This is because neither the molecule nor its antimicrobial effect is destroyed.
