The DeWalt DCD 999 cordless impact drill driver from the new FLEXVOLT Advantage series is an extremely powerful three-speed impact drill driver that has been specially developed to support professional craftsmen with outstanding performance and efficiency. Thanks to FLEXVOLT technology, it offers a double advantage when using XR FLEXVOLT batteries compared to conventional 18 volt XR batteries. The lower internal resistance of the battery cells enables a faster current flow to the motor, resulting in an impressive increase in performance. The innovative, brushless motor technology ensures over 50 % longer running time per battery charge and a longer service life for the device. With an optimised 3-speed full metal gearbox, the DCD 999 guarantees very high work progress and is ideally suited for long-term use thanks to the integrated safety electronics, which permanently monitors the battery temperature, current drain and discharge protection. The electronic speed and impact speed control as well as clockwise/anticlockwise rotation offer maximum precision, while the innovative electronic torque clutch and the precise 11-stage torque module with reliable cut-off torque ensure additional control and safety. A robust 13 mm full metal quick-action drill chuck with automatic spindle lock enables fast tool changes, while the three-stage LED light with a luminosity of up to 77 lumens ensures optimum illumination of the work area. The very compact dimensions of the tool, which are made possible by the electronic torque clutch, make it easy to use even in confined working areas. The ergonomic rubberised handle offers maximum working comfort and safety, and the extended additional handle ensures better control of the increased torque. A practical belt hook rounds off the well thought-out design and enables safe and fast use in all situations.
